New Project 'Coaster'

Post by efkirton »

Coaster just landed in my backyard, a 1977 Morris in need of a serious 'cosmetic' rehabilitation.

Eric

Congrats, sounds like a major project... do you have any interior pictures you can post?
Best to you

The interior is also pretty rough.

Hello Eric and congrats on the new project. Looks like more of a blank slate which will allow you to finish to your own
preferences. Is this the boat that was in Haddam CT ?

Best to luck and please post on your progress.

Sincerely

Hello Eric,

I thought the boat looked familiar. Glad she found a home... pretty depressing to see her there going to seed.

I have a number of sails , some tanbark , main, jib staysail and 2 headed drifter for the asking if you are interested.

You may have to adapt the luff depending on your situation.

Sincerely yours,

Mark

Coaster has been renamed AURORAL-coaster, complete enough to be in the water but still a work in progress.

Nice job on the new flush deck configuration and the interior modifications! Did you install a sheer clamp to support the new deck or did you use the already molded in railing lip and mount the new beams to that (on the underside)? I'm curious because I now have to remove and replace my entire deck - it's not salvageable.

Wow!
I just reviewed the pictures. You have done a miraculous job re imagining the deck. I like the gentle curve. You should forward the pictures to Chuck as I am sure he would appreciate your efforts.
If I am ever in the area, I would love to pop by for a look

Great looking work and progress. Glad you had the initiative and imagination to take her from the yard in CT and
give her a new life.
